Marla Rene’s InkyNade

Okay I know you’re like… What in the world is InkyNade? Well it is the most refreshingly energizing beverage I’ve found in a while. Simply put, InkyNade is Charcoal Lemonade but that’s so basic sounding, lol. So InkyNade™ (yeah I just did that) is my version.

If you’ve been following any my IG stories then you know I’ve been sooo off my health game. Don’t judge…

Everything and I mean EVERREETHANG I eat is not agreeing with me. This is a sure sign that my body is like gurrl get it together. Please get yo whole life together now!

So, stay tuned. I’ll be back juicing because I need a detox and Tez and so ready to get me back sweatin’ too but I need to get this build up of toxins out my system ASAP.

So, a while back I was introduced to charcoal lemonade…. yeah I said charcoal + lemonade. Yep, when I heard it and saw it, I was like yeah ummm no thanks. But after a little coaching, I took a sip.

And HUNTY!!! It was soooo good. It was not at all like I expected. It was a little tart, tangy and a touch of sweet. I kid you not, within about 20 minutes, I had a boost of energy. Not that energy drink frazzled energy but a nice lift with some alertness.

Of course I was off to the races looking for recipes and there are a ton on the net some with mint, basil and even ginger (Tez would love this one).  But, I’m a simple girl and I settled on one that was simple to make and simply delish and of course it’s with a Marla Rene twist.

I mean the benefits of both lemons and charcoal are immense. You can start your day with a tall glass of lemon water to energize and hydrate yourself first thing.  Even though lemons are acidic, they actually alkaline our systems when we drink it in water. Since disease can’t thrive in an alkaline environment, the more we alkaline our bodies the less opportunity there is for disease.

Quick note: if you find yourself constantly fatigued, even if you’ve slept well, easily stressed, quick to snap out over little things….wait… this sooo sounds like me lately, lol. hmmm This is a good indication of toxin build up.

Throw some activated charcoal in the mix and BAMMM! You’ve got a great detoxifying cocktail. The positive ions jump on the negative ions of toxins and drag they butts out your system at a crazy 100x it’s weight. Yo… don’t mess with activated charcoal. They come to get busy. Busy detoxifying your body.

I’m telling you, whip up a batch of this InkyNade™ and be sure to come back and let me know what you think.

Activated charcoal can be found at any local health food store or natural foods market. You can also purchase it on Amazon. There isn’t a particular brand that I necessarily recommend.
